Hi my name is Taffy.  I am a 3 year old Chow mix and I am a Princess.  I came to live with Phil and Sandy because my former owners relocated to another state and couldn't take me with them.  Some people say that I'm part wolfdog and some of my photos make me look that way.

        Since the cats are gone I now have the run of the house.  I sleep on the couch, floor or on the bed.  There is always someone here as Phil works nights and Sandy works the day shift.  I have my own toy box where I keep my bones, chewies and an assortment of other toys.  My favorite toy is a laser pointer.  I can spend hours chasing that around the house or at night in the yard.

        I love being outside and have been given a couple of nicknames, Houdini because I use to get loose and they could never figure out how I did it and Lewis and Clark because I love to explore everything I come across.  There are several cats in my neighborhood, and periodically on my walks I find them hiding in the shadows.  There are also a lot of trees surrounding the property that is home to a number of squirrels.  They are fun to chase to, but they never seem to want to play with me.  Children are my favorite and there are a few that live in the area. 

        I love to ride in the car.  Saturdays are the best day of the week, that's when I get to go with Sandy when she does her errands.  We also go for rides for no reason at all except to get out of the house.  I love to hang out the window with the wind in my face.  People get the biggest kick out of seeing this.   I have a short leash that connects to the seatbelt holder that gives me enough room to sit in my favorite position which has been dubbed "The Fat Man in a Cadillac".

        I love traveling with Sandy and Phil.  We have gone to a number of places, which is why they decided to create this site.  I have been to the White Mountains in New Hampshire, rode up Mt. Washington, and gone to the beach in Maine.
